FAQ

Q. Do you have a fee? There are no set fees.  Some churches have a set amount for outside speakers. Others take up a free-will offering and some will do a combination of both but we do not demand any set fee.  Whatever the case, help with housing, transportation, and meals is always appreciated.

Q. What do we need to provide? Two 6′ or 8′ tables for our demonstrations and the ability to show PowerPoint slides and videos with sound.

Q. What is your parent organization?  Cornerstone Baptist Church, Greenville, SC

Q. What are your core beliefs about Creation?
1. We believe that the account of origins in Genesis is a factual narrative of historical events; that is, God created the universe, including all original kinds of living organisms (including man) in six literal days (Exodus 20:11; 31:17).
2. We believe the genealogies recorded in Genesis 5 and 11 indicate a date for the creation week less than ten thousand years ago.
3. We believe the fall of man into sin and the consequent curse of God recorded in Genesis 3 had profoundly negative consequences for all of creation including the introduction of death (I Corinthians 15:21).
4. We believe the flood described in Genesis 6–8 was a historical event of approximately a year’s duration, which was global in extent and biologically and geologically catastrophic in effect.
5. We believe God made humans in His image as rational creatures who are charged with investigating and maximizing the usefulness of God’s creation (Genesis 1).

Q. What feedback have you received?
Principal, Ocala, Florida -The Matzkos were amazing. All the students really enjoyed it and were still talking about it at lunch and in the hallways afterward! It’s so neat to see people in their older years still passionate about the things they enjoy, and willing to try and help pass the baton onto the younger generation. It was a great day!”

Teacher, Ocala, Florida – The student feedback demonstrated true gratitude. Here is a text I received from a parent:  “Hi friend.  Just wanted to let you know how much Jonah enjoyed your guest scientist.  He told us all about his presentation and his life (being retired, etc.). He really made an impact on Jonah.  He said it was awesome and had never learned so much science in such a short period of time!”

Pastor, Addyston, Ohio – An excellent chemist, a skilled communicator, and a winsome personality – all combine to make Dr. George Matzko a superb choice to speak to groups of all sizes in all places. I highly recommend him.

Pastor, Salem, Oregon – The ministry of Dr. Matzko is relevant, engaging, and critical in this age of the American church. From public education to even Christian academia, the god of this world has polluted the Truth with so-called science. Dr. Matzko answers back with scripture, facts, history, logic, demonstrations, and actual scientific principles. His presentations and clear answers to our questions fortified our faith and set a springboard for further thought and study. Young and old alike will be blessed by Dr. Matzko’s ministry.

Asst. Pastor – Monroeville, New Jersey – The Matzkos are engaging in a much-needed and fruitful ministry. In the one week, they were with us, they provided preaching and teaching for a Saturday seminar, adult Sunday School, Sunday Services, our Wednesday night service, school chapels for all ages, and numerous secondary science classes. They had exposure to over 500 individuals, interacting with the youngest kids and the most mature adults winsomely and effectively.

Dr. Matzko is a master at bringing the most complex theological and scientific topics down to the level where most of us think and live. He answered questions succinctly and demonstrated concepts memorably. Mrs. Matzko supports his ministry with enthusiasm and cheerfulness. They’re a wonderful team–something our folks need to see.

Dr. Matzko addressed head-on current challenges to a conservative Christian worldview so that our people were much more equipped to interact intelligently with those who oppose a literal six-day creation week, a literal flood, and the continued governance of God over the world.
